Norwood began working with the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in the summer of 2019, following the successful bid to be included on to the NWUPC Framework EFM3127NW. UCA utilised the Framework to undertake a mini competition tender to award a 3 + 1 + 1 year contract for PA Testing, from which Norwood were selected as preferred bidder and ultimately awarded the contract.

APPORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTING

Undertaking PAT and microwave leakage testing across the four main campus’s in Farnham, Epsom, Rochester, and Canterbury, along with student accommodation, Norwood undertakes over 40,000 tests annually.

Working to the IET Code of Conduct and UCA’s specifications, Norwood undertakes PAT testing each summer ensuring all appliances are tested correctly and remain fit for purpose, helping UCA remain compliant.

Norwood utilises our directly employed engineers, allowing us to schedule the same staff each year to maintain consistency, continuity, and site familiarisation.

OUTCOME

The Framework is beneficial for member organisations making the tendering and selection process easy to understand and use. Norwood Electrical (UK) Ltd has been a supplier to the NWUPC Framework for PAT and Fixed Wire Testing since 2014 and continues to service member organisation across the country who use the Framework to select contractors and procure services. Currently repeat business for services procured with no fixed period is over 90%. This is proof that both supplier and members have a good solid working relationship which makes the tendering process easy and hassle free for all parties.
